My name is Alyah Hijar, but everyone calls me Sunny! I'm a Storyboard Artist and Character Designer.

I'm originally from France, but my family is from the Caribbean! Growing up under the warm sun and hot sand made me fall in love with warm colors. Bright yellows and sunset oranges are my favorite. 

​

As a little girl leaving Guadeloupe was hard, I immersed myself in a fantasy world through books and movies. That is where my love for the creative truly began, and I haven't looked back ever since. I would read 3 to 4 books weekly, staying up all night turning the pages. During the day, I would draw what I imagined the books were describing. 

I would pause animated movies on my favorite shots and redraw them and characters from my books.

Going to college only made me love the animation pipeline even more and I can't envision myself doing anything else! I love productions too much!
I've been lucky to work in both animation and in comics and hope to work with you next!
